In September 2007 Kinderland closed, for a major North Bay re-development.

The site will not be re-opening.

The Waterchute and Boating Lake are still open daily throughout the season. Access can be gained from the site of the North Bay Miniature Railway.

Peasholm Peasholm Park in Scarborough is situated on the north side. It is open all year round and boasts beautiful gardens surrounding a large lake. The park comes to life from Easter to October when rowing boats and Pedaloes can be hired. It is also home to the Naval Warfare Battle, one of Scarboroughs longest standing traditions. Shows start Spring Bank Holiday through to the last Saturday in August. Various special events take place throughout the summer and are advertised locally.

Kinderland was a unique and exciting world of good old-fashioned fun, adventure and excitement. It was situated in Scarborough's North bay, near to Peasholm Park boating lake, which is excellent family entertainment in Scarborough and only 5 minutes walk from Scarborough beach and within walking distance of the Scarborough Town Centre, Scarborough Castle & Scarborough Cricket Club. Scarborough has 2 award winning beaches which are clean and safe to visit.

Looking for entertainment for Children in Yorkshire? Peasholm Park is the place. Why not try the children’s fun boats, rowing boats and canoes. There is a Miniature Golf course and a Putting Green, Lakeside Café and refreshments. It is also the home of the famous Naval Warfare show and Sunday Brass Band Concerts.
